China Energy Outlook 2060 by China Energy Technology & Economics Research Institute, aligned with the Dual Carbon target and CPC’s second centenary goal, focuses on four important time nodes: 2030, 2035, 2050 and 2060. Based on a pre-optimization model of China’s energy system, it provides medium- and long-term forecasts of consumption volume and structure of national final and primary energy, and coordinates energy supply security and green & low-carbon transit for which a predictive optimization model of China’s energy system was used in super-structural optimization simulations of national energy supply. This outlook is primarily intended as a reference for energy competent authorities, energy companies, energy research institutions and researchers.
